A Message to Our Valued Customers

Dear Valued Customer,

On November 16, 2010, the License Agreement between Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment, Inc. and MGM Interactive, Inc. expired.  As a result, Cheyenne will no longer be able to offer Stargate Resistance for sale to new customers.   However, in the best interests of our customers, game play will be provided for a period of 60 days (until January 15, 2011) to customers who purchased Stargate Resistance prior to November 16, 2010.  Look for more information as it becomes available.

Dark Comet Games Announces Enhancements to Stargate Resistance™ A Fast Paced Third-Person Shooter with Online Gameplay

Mesa, AZ – July 27, 2010 - Dark Comet Games (DCG) today announced several content enhancements to their Stargate Resistance third-person action shooter video game. 

Included in this recent release are the following features:

• New Gameplay Modes with the “King of the Hill” Gameplay Mode for the Amarna Temple Game Map and “Team Death Match” Gameplay Mode added to the Stargate Command Headquarters Game Map
• Several new collectable in game achievements (totaling now 176) including: 'Puddle Jumper', 'GOAAAAAL!', 'Fish in a Barrel'
• Expansion of the universe with the Leonops Game Map
• New Character models for: System Lords Jaffa Class and Stargate Command Soldier Class

Stargate Resistance is a fast paced third-person shooter video game with online gameplay for up to 16 players and is based on the popular Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. (MGM) Stargate franchise. 

Gamers can join either the Stargate Command or Systems Lords factions and master the six unique classes based on the epic Stargate series including: Soldier, Commando, Scientist, Goa’uld, Ashrak, and Jaffa.  The game boasts multiple Stargate based game worlds; a multitude of gameplay modes including Conquest, Team Death Match, Capture the Tech, and King of the Hill; and a foray of authentic Stargate weapons including the iconic P90, Ma’tok Staff, and A’tar Blade. “We are pleased to announce another batch of game enhancements to our loyal Stargate Resistance fan base.  Additional gameplay modes, additional maps, improved character modeling and multiplayer enhancements bring gamers closer to the Stargate Resistance Universe“, says Jim Brown, Creative Director and Studio Head at Dark Comet Games.  “Listening to our gaming community is core at DCG.  With recent releases, the DCG team continues to excel at delivering premium Stargate content to a demanding gaming market”

Several improvements to the game launcher, server side balancing, and player management features will also be included in this release.  The game now includes 176 achievements, high rank unlocks for veteran players, 4 worlds with plans to release multiple additional game maps, gameplay modes, weapons, animations, and in game tactics to meet the ever growing demand for Stargate gaming content.

New Patch, New Models, New Acheivements!

Hello all! We are excited to announce the release of our updated high res models for the Soldier and Jaffa. These new models will be replacing the old default Soldier and Jaffa models and feature unlockable aspects. To unlock the black spec ops for the soldier you must obtain the rank of second lieutenant and have 100 jaffa kills. To unlock the retractable anubis guard helmet for the jaffa you must obtain the rank of dis’secu and have 100 soldier kills. Obtaining these unlockables also grants you the “Spec Ops” and “In the service of Ra” achievements for the Soldier and Jaffa respectively. Stay tuned for all the latest info on the upcoming weapons, costumes, maps, and achievements. Stargate: Resistance, now with more awesome!
